Michael Federico of Wrentham Sentenced For Not Properly Paying Employees
On January 30, 2009, Michael Federico, age 51, pled guilty in Wrentham District Court to charges he failed to file true and accurate certified payroll records on three public works projects, and he also admitted to not properly paying the prevailing wage rate to workers on those same projects. Judge Emogene Johnson-Smith sentenced Federico to serve 15 months of probation, and ordered Federico to pay $15,000 in fines for the violations. Federico has also been debarred for a period of one year, which prohibits him and his company from bidding or working on public works projects in the Commonwealth.
