This country was designed by people who worked with their hands.  Now we’re a country of white-collar snobs with an underdeveloped understanding of how things work. It makes no sense.

Today, the Senate confirmed the appointment of Brian Hayes, a Republican, and Mark Pearce, a Democrat, to the National Labor Realtions Board, upping its membership to five.  The newly confirmed members will serve five-year terms.  See Story in June 22nd ENR

Deputy Labor Secretary Seth Harris told a Senate hearing on June 17 that some employers deliberately misclassify workers as independent contractors or "leased" or outsourced workers and can gain an advantage in the market over competitors that adhere to the law.
