AG's Office has reached an agreement with Russell Disposal Inc., F.W. Russell & Sons Disposal, Inc., RDI Belmont, Inc., Langton & Douglas Contracting, Inc., F.W. Russell & Sons & Granddaughter, Inc, collectively known as Russell. Russell and its three corporate officers have agreed to pay $70,000 to 352 current and former employees as well as a $20,000 penalty to the Commonwealth.

Northeast Asbestos Cited Nearly $326,000 in Restitution/Penalties for Prevailing Wage Law Violations

The AG's office has cited a Lowell asbestos abatement company for violating the State's prevailing wage laws at two public construction sites in Mass. The Citations require Vandy Duch and Mark Pech of Lowell and their company Northeast Asbestos Abatement Inc. to pay nearly $276,000 in restitution and a $15,000 fine for failure to pay prevailing wage. AG Cites Ewing Electrical For Violating Mass. Prevailing Wage Law

As a result of the violations, Davidson and Ewing Electrical Company are required to pay over $37,300 in restitution to their workers as well as a $2,000 fine to the Commonwealth.

AG's Office has reached a settlement agreement with a Dorchester asbestos abatement company for intentionally failing to pay the prevailing wage and for intentionally failing to pay overtime at various public construction sites in Massachusetts. Neal Cass and his company Nealco Environmental Services, Inc. Have agreed to pay $12,000 in fines and a total of over $122,200 in restitution to employees for the violation.
