Thanks to the collaboration of government officials, labor unions, and community groups, the Curtis Apartments will be redeveloped with 100% union labor. The project will add 157 additional units to the property, for a total of 527 brand-new, modern housing units. The redevelopment will include adding 50 wheelchair-accessible units, along with new parks and open spaces.
Thank you to everyone who worked together to push this project forward, including the Worcester Housing Authority, Worcester City Council, Candy Mero-Carlson, Mayor Petty, Sean Rose, Joe Carlson, the Central Mass AFL-CIO, and the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust for making sure that union funds work to the benefit of labor and the community.
