As union tradesmen and tradeswomen, we recognize the long-term benefits of a union career. It’s thanks to these opportunities that we can be homeowners, provide for our families, and enjoy long, stable retirements.
New opportunities are constantly opening in the union construction industry, and we encourage you to apply and help spread the word to potential members, especially women and people of color. Local apprenticeship programs are available statewide and offer strong career paths with paid, hands-on training and classroom instruction. Known as “the other 4-year degree,” the apprenticeship model prepares you for a long-lasting, well-paying career like a college education would—without all the student debt!
Apprenticeships pay you for your work while you train, making them more economically accessible than a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree. Plus, you have a job all but guaranteed when you graduate. Several trades are taking applications this month, and other unions do so throughout the year, so be sure to check out this life-changing opportunity.
