Construction Guidance in Spanish: The Massachusetts Building Trades Council has made its COVID-19 Resource Center available in Spanish in an attempt to ensure that even more workers and their families have information they need to mitigate their chances of getting infected or spreading the coronavirus while at work. The webpage includes links to news on the COVID-19 pandemic, unemployment and other public benefit resources, best practices for workers and businesses, and more. “There are many tradesmen and tradeswomen whose primary language is Spanish, and it’s crucial that the same information is available to them as it is to everyone else,” MBTC President Frank Callahan said. “We want to ensure that everyone who makes a living on a construction site learns how to stay safe and how to protect themselves and their families during this time of uncertainty.” While many businesses have closed or transitioned to remote work, the construction industry has largely continued to operate albeit under new guidelines meant to keep workers safe on job sites.
